Life
is change. Without movement and change there is only stagnation and death.
When
we first started Reiki, our lives began to change - sometimes dramatically.
This dramatic change is sometimes referred to as a "cleanse" and in many
ways that is exactly what it is.
Think
of a river. When the river is blocked and silted up, what happens to it?
It
stagnates upstream, leaving fish, wildlife and plants dead and dying.
Downstream, the land and people thirst and die.
Within
our own lives and bodies we have many rivers of energy and liquid - blood,
lymph, meridians, chackra circuits, ground substance - some we know of,
some we don't.
When
we start to do Reiki, the results can be spectacular - jobs and relationships
changing and maybe becoming irrelevant. Striking out in a completely new
direction is not unknown ...
But
often the effects of Reiki are more subtle, a gentle release of toxins
and partial blocks takes place over a timescale we can cope with.
Change
can be stressful - in fact there is a whole area of business knowledge
devoted to change management in the modern world. But with Reiki to guide
us and support us through the changes it precipitates, most of us manage
one way or another, to face change with courage and confidence. And more
Reiki!
By
the way, some people find themselves in a situation where change is essential,
the alternative being death, destitution or worse. Under my signature
you will find the url for information on the helplist I facilitate - to
support people through change is a graceful act and I invite you to join
me and the other volunteers in this selfless act. And to ask for help
when you need it, too :)
